Media outlets in 2014 and 2015 incorrectly reported that Niagara Falls had frozen. Even a tiny thought about this would lead you to the conclusion that it's literally impossible for Niagara Falls to freeze. That being said, the mist from the falls does freeze on every surface it touches, providing gorgeous ice formations. But contrary to media reports, this is not rare, nor caused by the polar vortexes that are the new buzz word for winter cold fronts. It happens every year, and it's always beautiful.
