Media outlets in 2014 and 2015 incorrectly reported that Niagara
Falls had frozen. Even a tiny thought about this would lead you to
the conclusion that it's literally impossible for Niagara Falls to
freeze. That being said, the mist from the falls does freeze on
every surface it touches, providing gorgeous ice formations. But
contrary to media reports, this is not rare, nor caused by the
polar vortexes that are the new buzz word for winter cold fronts.
It happens every year, and it's always beautiful.
